About us

Citizens’ Association ONCOLOGIST was founded on 23rd December 2000 in Belgrade as a humanitarian and non-governmental organisation.

Goals and work of the Association are:

• to gather – citizens interested and willing to contribute to the progress of oncological practice, as well as scientists, professionals and other citizens from various fields and professions who can contribute to the general improvement of standards and education in the prevention and treatment of oncological illnesses

• to generate – gathering and  work on scientific and technical literature from the field of oncology; raising of health awareness in this field; publishing of books and other materials; participation in establishing and equipping specialised institutions which deal with prevention and treatment of malignant and other diseases

• to organise – scientific and technical staff for work in scientific, technical and research projects in the field of oncology; meetings, lectures, talks, seminars and other events independent of  or in cooperation with other individuals or organisations;  to support and organise networking between patients undergoing treatment with those who are responding to treatment of malignant diseases in terms of emotional and psychosocial support.
